Workaround for repository browser problem
- unable to browse repositories after changing uberSVN's port

If you've changed the port on which uberSVN runs (9890 by default) you may find that when you view a repository through the repository browser you get a configuration screen, instead.

The problem is caused by port changes not being updated in the repository browser settings. The problem has been fixed for new installations, however, updating uberSVN using the updates tool doesn't address the problem.

If, after changing the uberSVN port number, you find that the repository browser stops working or takes you to a configuration page, follow this procedure:

• 1. On your file system of the uberSVN server, go to the Repository Browser repository configuration directory. You'll find it here (Windows):

  <install_directory>/uberSVN/tomcat/temp/sventon_config/RepositoryBrowser/repositories/ 

  or here (Linux):

  <install_directory>\uberSVN\tomcat\temp\sventon_config\RepositoryBrowser\repositories\ 
  

  Delete all the repository folders stored within the repositories directory.

• 2. With the repository config directories deleted, we need to get uberSVN to recreate them. Login to uberSVN and click on the Repositories tab. Click on a repository name to enter its settings.

• 3. From within the repository's screen, click the Administration sub-tab.

• 4. Click on the SAVE button to force uberSVN to create new configuration files for the repository browser.

• 5. You'll need to follow up with a restart of Apache. You can do this by clicking on the text link "Click here to apply configuration changes".

• 6. Click on the Browse tab and login to the repository through the repository browser to confirm that the problem is now fixed.
